Deborah Boschert: Deborah Boschert is an artist, author and teacher. Her art quilt collages are created with layers of fabric, paint and stitching. She strives to create designs that make a visual impact from across the room and offer intimate, personal details upon close viewing. Deborah’s art quilt collages often include personal symbols like ladders, chairs and bowls. The shapes, compositions, lines and textures in her work serve as metaphors for ideas and themes including growth, transition, rest and curiosity. Deborah is the author of Art Quilt Collage: A Creative Journey in Fabric, Paint and Stitch. She has appeared on Quilting Arts TV and The Quilt Show and is published in several books and magazines. Her work has been included in Art Quilt Elements, Quilts=Art=Quilts, several Studio Art Quilt Associates global exhibitions, and many other juried exhibitions. Deborah’s quilts can be found in the collection of the International Quilt Museum, the Frank Klein Quilt Collection and as a mural in the Dallas Arts District. Deborah lectures and teaches workshops both in person and virtually with artist groups and quilt guilds all over the US and internationally. She offers opportunities to explore fused appliqué, print making on fabric, captivating compositions, personal symbols and using stitch as a design element. Her workshops provide students with both structure and creative flexibility. She is known for her organization, enthusiastic spirit and encouraging vibe. Deborah lives in Lewisville, Texas with her husband, Jeff. She’s delighted her two grown kids live, work and attend school in the Dallas area. Deborah loves to travel, do crossword puzzles, drink coffee, practice yoga and listen to podcasts.

Sherri Lipman McCauley:Sherri Lipman McCauley is educated as a teacher, trained as a computer programmer, and has emerged as a fiber artist. McCauley typically works in the moment, with paints and dyes on fabric. The simple line of a geometric shape, the blast of a colorful line, or the contrast of black against white makes her canvas sing. McCauley works extemporaneously and in the abstract. The serendipity of the paint or dye landing on the fabric dictates the direction of her design. The simple stroke of a geometric shape or the blast of a colorful line ground her work. The nature of the medium dictates the direction. Process is an important aspect to her design. Her final art is often intentionally ambiguous, the abstraction deliberate. McCauley’s work has been exhibited in local, national and international venues. She has been published in Quilting Arts Magazine and Art Quilt Quarterly. She can be seen on The Quilt Show, episode #3204, and in the 2400 and 2500 Quilting Arts TV seasons. McCauley is a Juried Artist Member of Studio Art Quilt Associates (SAQA) and a juried member of the Art Cloth Network (ACN), as well as a member of her local Texas quilt guilds. McCauley works out of her studio in Lakeway, Texas.

For 40+ years Katie Pasquini Masopust has produced high quality contemporary art quilts that have been coveted and collected by a broad range of admirers. From her early beginnings as a painter dabbling in traditional quilt making, her work has evolved from structured Mandalas and mind-blowing dimensional pieces to very painterly landscapes executed with the finest fabrics and most creative stitching techniques. Katieʼs easy, energetic manner has made her a very popular teacher and lecturer. When not in residence at her studio in California she travels the world presenting her contemporary quilting theories and techniques to classes; not only in North America, but in Europe, the Far East, Australia and New Zealand. Awards and accolades have been numerous for Katie, culminating with her 2005 induction into a very select group of art quilt professionals who have earned the Silver Star Award presented by Houston Quilt Festival. A prolific author, Katie shares her enthusiasm for the art of creative quilting through her numerous books, her many classes, and now as executive director of Alegre Retreat held at Gateway Canyons Resort in Colorado – a destination resort for quilting enthusiasts and fiber artists.
